SSC has released the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2026 notification for about 2,536 tentative vacancies of Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator. 12th pass candidates aged 18–27 can apply online at ssc.gov.in until 7 October 2026.

Eligibility & age limit

  • LDC / JSA and most DEO posts: 12th pass (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.
  • DEO and DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, the Staff Selection Commission and the Ministry of Culture: 12th pass in Science with Mathematics.
  • Candidates awaiting their 12th result can apply if the result is declared on or before 07-10-2026.

Age: 1827 years (As on 01-08-2026 (born between 02-08-1999 and 01-08-2008))

Age relaxation: OBC: 3 years · SC/ST: 5 years · PwBD: 10 years (OBC 13, SC/ST 15) · Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deducting military service · Central Govt civilian employees with 3 years regular service: up to 40 years (SC/ST 45) · Widows, divorced or judicially separated women (not remarried): up to 35 years (SC/ST 40). Selection process

  1. 1Tier-I (computer-based, qualifying for Tier-II)
  2. 2Tier-II Session I (computer-based)
  3. 3Tier-II Session II: Skill Test (DEO) / Typing Test (LDC/JSA)
  4. 4Document verification
  1. Tier-I: computer-based test — English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness (25 questions, 50 marks each; 60 minutes; 0.50 negative marking). Used only to shortlist for Tier-II.
  2. Tier-II, Session I: computer-based test — Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning, English & General Awareness, and a qualifying Computer Knowledge module (1 mark negative per wrong answer).
  3. Tier-II, Session II (same day): qualifying Skill Test for DEO (8,000 key depressions an hour; 15,000 for the three offices above) or Typing Test for LDC/JSA (35 wpm English or 30 wpm Hindi).
  4. Final merit on Tier-II marks and post preferences, followed by document verification by the departments.

How to apply

  1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on ssc.gov.in (old ssc.nic.in registrations are not valid).
  2. Log in and click Apply under Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2026 in Latest Notifications. You can also apply through the mySSC app.
  3. Fill in your details, choose three exam centres in your region, the exam language and typing-test medium.
  4. Capture a live photo in the form and upload your signature (JPEG, 10–20 KB).
  5. Preview, accept the declaration and submit.
  6. Pay ₹100 online by 08-10-2026, 23:00 (if not exempt) and keep a copy of the application.

Full details

Correction window: 14–16 October 2026 (₹200 for the first correction, ₹500 for the second, for all candidates).

Minimum qualifying marks: UR 30%, OBC/EWS 25%, all others 20%.
