IBPS publishes a yearly calendar for PO, Clerk and RRB exams, then a notice for each. SBI and RBI announce their own recruitments. Source

IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk (for 11 public sector banks), IBPS RRB (officers and office assistants in Regional Rural Banks), SBI PO and SBI Junior Associate (clerk), and RBI Officers in Grade B.
For SBI, yes: SBI PO 2026 needed the degree by 30 September 2026 and SBI Junior Associate 2026 by 31 December 2026. IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk require you to be a graduate on the day you register. RBI Grade B General cadre needs 60% in graduation (50% for SC, ST and PwBD) or 55% in post-graduation.
IBPS PO 2026: 20–30 on 1 July 2026. IBPS Clerk: 20–28 on 1 August 2026. SBI PO: 21–30 and SBI Junior Associate: 20–28, both on 1 April 2026. RBI Grade B: 21–30 on 1 April 2026. IBPS RRB: Office Assistant 18–28 and Officer Scale I 18–30 on 1 September 2026. OBC candidates get 3 more years and SC/ST 5.
Yes, in IBPS and SBI exams: one fourth of the marks of a question is deducted for each wrong answer in the objective tests of Prelims and Mains. A question left blank has no penalty.
No. In IBPS PO the final score is Mains and interview in the ratio 80:20. In SBI PO, Mains (230 marks) is scaled to 75 and group exercise and interview (50 marks) to 25. IBPS Clerk and SBI Junior Associate merit is on Mains marks only.
Yes. IBPS Clerk and SBI Junior Associate candidates apply for one State or UT only and must know its language. A local language test is held after Mains and before joining; it is not needed if your 10th (or 12th, for SBI) mark sheet shows you studied that language.
As printed in the notices: IBPS PO and SBI PO ₹48,480 (SBI adds 4 advance increments), IBPS Clerk ₹24,050 scale start, SBI Junior Associate ₹26,730, and RBI Grade B ₹78,450. DA, HRA and other allowances are extra.
SBI PO 2026 requires a bond of ₹2 lakh to serve at least three years, with probation of two years. SBI Junior Associates are on probation for at least six months. RBI Grade B officers are on probation for two years, which RBI can extend up to four.
IBPS (PO, Clerk and RRB): ₹850, or ₹175 for SC, ST and PwBD (ex-servicemen also pay ₹175 for clerk and office assistant posts). SBI PO and Junior Associate: ₹750, free for SC, ST and PwBD. RBI Grade B: ₹850 plus GST, or ₹100 plus GST for SC, ST and PwBD.
In SBI PO, General and EWS candidates get 6 chances, and OBC and PwBD candidates 9; SC and ST have no limit. Only appearing in Mains counts as a chance. In RBI Grade B, General and EWS candidates who have taken Phase-I six times cannot apply.
IBPS RRB applications are open from 1 to 21 September 2026. From the IBPS calendar: IBPS PO Mains on 4 October, IBPS Clerk Prelims on 10–11 October and Mains on 27 December, RRB Officer Scale I Prelims on 21–22 November and Office Assistant Prelims on 6, 12 and 13 December 2026. IBPS can change these dates.
