Age is counted as on 1 January of the year after the exam year.
Relaxations are not cumulative: only the single largest one applies.
SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS candidates of other states are treated as General.
Widowed and divorced women have no upper age limit. Reservists and ex-servicemen: up to 50 years.

How many posts are there in RAS 2026?
607: 192 in the State Services (including 57 RAS and 26 RPS) and 415 in the Subordinate Services (including 148 Tehsildar). The number of posts can change.
What is the age limit for RAS 2026?
21 to 40 years as on 1 January 2027. SC, ST, BC, MBC and EWS men of Rajasthan get 5 more years and women of these categories 10; General women get 5, and persons with disabilities 5. Relaxations are not added together.
Is there negative marking in RAS Prelims?
Yes. One third of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer in the 150-question Prelims paper.
Do RAS Prelims marks count in the final merit?
No. Prelims is a screening test; its marks are not counted in the final order of merit.
What is the RAS application fee?
RPSC charges a one-time registration fee: ₹600 for General and creamy-layer candidates and candidates of other states, ₹400 for Rajasthan SC, ST, non-creamy BC/MBC and EWS candidates and for persons with disabilities.
When is RAS 2026 Prelims?
The RPSC website lists 6 December 2026 for Prelims and 1–2 May 2027 for Mains.
