You can apply for the vacancies of one State or UT only.
SC/ST/OBC relaxation can be added to only one other relaxation (PwBD, ex-servicemen or widows).

What is the age limit for IBPS Clerk?
20 to 28 years as on 1 August 2026: born not earlier than 2 August 1998 and not later than 1 August 2006. SC/ST get 5 more years, OBC 3 and PwBD 10.
How many vacancies are there in IBPS Clerk 2026?
The notice lists indicative vacancies State/UT by State/UT; the notice prints no all-India total. Allotment is made on the actual vacancies reported by the banks.
Can I apply for more than one state?
No. You apply for the vacancies of one State or UT only, and take the exam at a centre in that State or UT.
Is there an interview in IBPS Clerk?
No. Merit is on Mains marks. After allotment there is a qualifying local language test, unless your 10th or higher mark sheet shows you studied that language.
Is there negative marking in IBPS Clerk?
Yes. One fourth of the marks of a question is deducted for each wrong answer in Prelims and Mains. There is no penalty for a question left blank.
When is IBPS Clerk Prelims 2026?
The IBPS tentative calendar lists 10 and 11 October 2026 for Prelims and 27 December 2026 for Mains. Applications closed on 21 August 2026.
