Contract and guest teachers of the Directorate of Education get a one-time upper age relaxation for the time served, up to 5 years.

Minimum qualifying marks apply to Section B only: 40% for General/EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi), 30% for SC, ST and PwBD (ex-servicemen get 5% relaxation, to a minimum of 30%). Final merit uses Sections A and B together. Questions are bilingual (Hindi and English) except language papers; marks may be normalised across shifts.

How many TGT and PRT vacancies did DSSSB notify?
Advertisement 06/2025 notified 5,346 TGT and other teacher posts; a corrigendum of 19 January 2026 revised six TGT posts, bringing the total to 5,336. Advertisement 05/2025 notified 1,180 Assistant Teacher (Primary) posts; a corrigendum of 18 May 2026 cut the Directorate of Education share from 1,055 to 1,044, making 1,169. DSSSB says vacancies are tentative.
Is CTET required for DSSSB TGT and PRT?
Yes, a CTET pass is an essential qualification for TGT and for Assistant Teacher (Primary) in the Directorate of Education. For the NDMC primary posts the advertisement lists CTET as desirable.
What is the age limit for DSSSB TGT and PRT?
Not more than 30 years on the closing date. SC/ST get 5 years, OBC (Delhi) 3 years, PwBD 10 to 15 years, and government servants up to 5 years.
Is there negative marking in DSSSB teacher exams?
Yes. 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
Is there an interview for DSSSB TGT or PRT?
No. DSSSB holds a one-tier exam and selects on merit, followed by e-dossier document scrutiny by the user department.
What is the salary of a DSSSB TGT?
Pay Level 7, ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400, as printed in Advertisement 06/2025. Assistant Teacher (Primary) is at Level 6, ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400. Allowances are extra.
Did DSSSB advertise more teaching posts in 2026?
Advertisement 03/2026 (applications 16 June to 15 July 2026) includes 675 TGT (Computer Science), 129 Domestic Science Teacher, 163 TGT (Special Education Teacher) and 450 Special Educator (Primary) posts in the Directorate of Education.
When was the DSSSB PRT exam held?
DSSSB’s schedule for February to May 2026 lists the Assistant Teacher (Primary) exam (post code 802/25) on several dates, including 23 February, 26 and 31 March, and 3 and 10 April 2026.
