01What is the difference between CTET and KVS recruitment?

CTET is an eligibility test held by CBSE: passing it makes you eligible to be appointed as a teacher, but it gives no job, no vacancy and no pay. KVS & NVS recruitment is a job exam that fills posts at 7th CPC pay levels, and CTET is one of its essential qualifications for PRT and TGT posts.

02Is UGC NET a government job exam?

No. UGC-NET decides eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, for appointment as Assistant Professor and for PhD admission. Recruitment as Assistant Professor is done by the university, college or state concerned under its own rules.
