Age is counted as on 6 October 2026 (last date of the 2026 online form).
Candidates who are not domiciles of Madhya Pradesh can apply only against unreserved open posts, with no reservation or age relaxation (maximum 33).
Candidates must have a live registration with a Madhya Pradesh employment exchange.
The police department is exempt from reservation for persons with disabilities.
Men (other units): height 168 cm, chest 81 / 86 cm; ST men 160 cm, 76 / 81 cm. Women: 155 cm. Special Armed Force men: 168 cm (165 cm for SC / ST / Maratha, 157 cm for Gorkha, Garhwali, Kumaoni), chest 79 / 84 cm. No relaxation in physical standards.
The written exam is in Hindi. Questions are of MP Board Class 8 level.

Seven times the posts in each vertical category are called to the PET on the basis of written exam percentile. PET marks are added to written exam marks for the final merit. Candidates in certain priority groups (for example NCC C certificate holders and ex-servicemen) get 5% extra marks on the written exam.

7,500 Constable (GD) posts: 700 in the Special Armed Force (men only) and 6,800 in other units, of which 2,380 are reserved for women.
When can I apply for MP Police Constable 2026?
The online form is open from 22 September to 6 October 2026, with corrections until 11 October 2026. The written exam is scheduled to begin on 19 November 2026.
What is the age limit for MP Police Constable?
18 to 33 years as on 6 October 2026. Women of Madhya Pradesh and SC / ST / OBC men of Madhya Pradesh can apply up to 38. Candidates from other states get no relaxation.
Is there negative marking in the MP Police Constable exam?
No. Each correct answer gets 1 mark and no marks are deducted for a wrong or unanswered question.
What is the height for MP Police Constable?
For most units, men need 168 cm (160 cm for ST) with a chest of 81 / 86 cm (76 / 81 cm for ST), and women need 155 cm. No relaxation is given.
Does the physical test count in the merit?
Yes. The PET is out of 100 marks (800 m run 40, long jump 30, shot put 30), you need at least 30, and PET marks are added to your written exam marks.
